This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) describes conduct that is prohibited on the Taridium network and Services. This Policy applies to all customers, users, and any party accessing the Services, and is incorporated into our Terms and Conditions.
1. Purpose
Taridium’s network exists to serve legitimate business communications. This Policy protects the integrity of our network, the safety of our customers, and compliance with applicable telecommunications law.
2. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use the Services to:
- Transmit unsolicited bulk communications, including spam calls, spam texts, or spam faxes;
- Place robocalls or use autodialers in violation of applicable telemarketing, do-not-call, or unsolicited telecommunications laws (including Canada’s Unsolicited Telecommunications Rules and equivalent U.S. regulations);
- Spoof, falsify, or misrepresent caller ID or origination information with intent to defraud, cause harm, or wrongly obtain anything of value;
- Engage in toll fraud, traffic pumping, or any scheme intended to generate fraudulent call or usage volume;
- Transmit threatening, harassing, abusive, or defamatory communications;
- Transmit content that is illegal, infringes intellectual property rights, or facilitates illegal activity;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to, or disrupt the integrity or performance of, the Taridium network or any connected system;
- Resell or provide the Services to third parties without our prior written authorization;
- Interfere with another customer’s use and enjoyment of the Services.
3. Telemarketing & Robocall Compliance
Customers using the Services for outbound calling or messaging campaigns are solely responsible for complying with all applicable consent, do-not-call, and disclosure requirements in the jurisdictions they contact. Taridium may require proof of consent or campaign registration for high-volume or automated calling and messaging use cases.
4. Fair Use & Network Integrity
Services described as unlimited are subject to fair, business-ordinary use. Usage patterns that are inconsistent with normal business use, or that degrade network performance for other customers, may be subject to rate limiting, additional charges, or service adjustments after notice.
5. Monitoring & Enforcement
Taridium does not routinely monitor the content of customer communications, but may investigate suspected violations of this Policy, including in response to complaints, security events, or requests from carriers or regulators. We may take any action reasonably necessary to protect our network and other customers, including throttling, suspending, or terminating access, with notice where practical.
6. Reporting a Violation
To report suspected abuse of the Taridium network, contact info@taridium.com with details sufficient to investigate the issue, including relevant call/message records, dates, and numbers involved.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may revise this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in applicable law or industry practice. The current version will always be posted on this page.
