This Privacy Policy explains how Taridium collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with our business communications Services and our website. It applies to our customers, their end users, and visitors to taridium.com.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: names, business details, billing and shipping addresses, and contact information for account administrators;
- Call and messaging records: call detail records (CDRs), including originating and terminating numbers, timestamps, and duration, along with SMS and fax transmission logs, generated in the course of providing the Services;
- Usage and device data: information about how the Services are configured and used, including device and handset information for provisioning and support;
- Payment information: processed through our payment providers; Taridium does not store full payment card numbers;
- Support communications: records of correspondence when you contact our support or sales teams;
- Website data: standard web analytics and cookies collected when you visit taridium.com (see Section 8).
2. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to provision, deliver, bill for, and support the Services; to maintain network security and prevent fraud or abuse; to communicate with account administrators about service or billing matters; to comply with legal and regulatory obligations, including lawful requests from law enforcement (see our Law Enforcement Request Guidelines); and to improve our Services and website.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with:
- Underlying carrier and network partners, as necessary to originate and terminate calls, messages, and faxes;
- Service providers who support our operations (such as billing, payment processing, and customer support tooling), under confidentiality obligations;
- Government or law enforcement authorities, in response to valid legal process, or where required to protect the safety of any person;
- A successor entity, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to the terms of this Policy.
4. Data Retention
We retain account and call/messaging record information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet contractual, legal, tax, and regulatory obligations (including obligations under Canadian and U.S. telecommunications recordkeeping requirements), after which it is securely deleted or anonymized.
5. Data Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. No system is completely secure, and we encourage customers to safeguard their own account credentials.
6. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. Canadian customers may exercise rights available under PIPEDA and applicable provincial privacy law; customers connected to our Switzerland operations may exercise rights available under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and, where applicable, the EU GDPR. To make a request, contact us using the information in Section 10.
7. International Operations
Taridium operates in Canada, the United States, and Switzerland. Information may be processed or stored in any of these jurisdictions, or by service providers located elsewhere, in each case with appropriate safeguards in place.
8. Cookies & Website Analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for functionality and analytics purposes, and may use live chat tools that process information you choose to share during a chat session. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
9. Children’s Privacy
Our Services are intended for business use and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
